On July 27th I had an aortic valve replacement. I had the St. Jude valve put in and currently am trying to get my coumadin levels right. I stay very scared about that because a week after my AVR surgery they had to go back in and put in a pericardial window, it seems that I had 700 cc's of fluid crushing my heart because my coumadin levels were 6 instead of 2.5.  I stay in constant fear that the least little pain means I have to go back in the hospital and I stay in pain because the cartilage between my ribs was broken when they pulled open my rib cage.
